About Me
I have a Masters degree in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy accredited by Middlesex University, London and I hold a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy from the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I am a member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and am a UKCP registered and qualified Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and am bound by the UKCP code of ethics and standards of practice.
Prior to establishing my own business in 2001, I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers where I held a variety of leadership roles in the areas of learning & development. Since then I became further specialised in organisation and leadership development, and was the lead coach & facilitator of a global leadership development programme for partners at PwC until 2008. In 2006 I undertook a deep personal journey myself as I commenced my training in Psychotherapy.
In 2010 I established a private psychotherapeutic practice in Devon, in the South of England and worked as a Psychotherapist, as well as also working in my organisational consulting business. In 2019 I relocated to Greece, where I lived from 2001 to 2010, and am in the process of setting up a small centre from which I will offer workshop holidays, CPD for counsellors and psychotherapists, and also practice in-person Psychotherapy. I am currently offering on-line Psychotherapy and Counselling, as well as on-line organisational consulting related work.
Alongside my therapeutic background, I practice yoga and ballet. Through these experiences I have become attuned to the body, somatisation and how we hold our physicality in response to daily living and life traumas. Yoga and dance are essentially mindful practices and I apply these mindfulness techniques and body awareness to my work.
I am also an accredited Veriditas Labyrinth Faciliator and I work with the metaphor of the labyrinth in personal healing and therapeutic work. I run weekend workshops and holiday retreats using the labyrinth as a metaphor for our life journey, incorporating my love of dance, music, yoga and meditation.
I speak good French, rusty German, and English is my mother tongue (despite me being Welsh). I also speak a little Greek and am currently trying to make progress in that, but it's slow! I have an Honours degree in Modern Languages (French and German). I live mainly in the southern Peloponnese in Greece, and share my life with my husband, Richard, who is a fine art photographer.
